Dear friends. I laid off my translator (me) because she was very bad. I am very sorry I will not be able to continue with the bog, but if you are interesting you can follow us in our Spanish blog because our pictures talk by themselves. Thank you for your time. Love María.

WEEK 3. Magic fruits with gelatin.

I invite you to visit the website oh! fiestas.. They have great ideas for holiday recipes,crafts ... I picked up this colorful jelly recipe.
Gelatin is a very healthy food. It is a pure protein obtained from animal raw materials containing collagen. Another advantage of gelatin is its content of amino acids, especially glycine and proline, which improve the construction of the structures of ourbody, mostly bones, cartilage, tendons and ligaments. An insufficient supply of amino acids can manifest itself in joint pain, brittle nails and dry hair. Industrial Gels are not recommended for  babies because they have plenty of sugar and unwise coloring.

This week activity is to make these fruit gelatin with the kids.

Give a new way to gelatin flavors!
Cut limes, lemons and oranges in half, remove all the pulp and fill them with jelly following the preparation instructions. Let cool and cut into wedges.
If you want to do even more special, just when warm, put a few chocolate chips to simulate the seeds. Delicious!

I propose a very easy activity to be prepared, now we need to re-hook to normal quietly life.

Cut an interesting image in a magazine and glue its edge to a card or sheet. Let your little one to complete the work of art ...

HOLIDAY 1. We found amazing parks.

Sometimes when you're climbing a mountain you have to stop, stop to look fondly the trip made and to think about where you want to go. These stops do not they you farer from the goal, because you get more strength and ideas to continue to rise. This August I want to stop, to return in September with lots of energy. I appreciate all the support in recent months. I'm leaving but I'd leave you a last post about  the kids secret house and two proposals for holidays.

1 .- Save the list of "Things I have to do" for September and create a new: "things I want to do" for August.

2.-A few weeks ago I told you how important new experiences are. I propose that this month you take the kids to the park and that you try to discover new parks each time. Walk a few blocks to find an  apparently uninteresting tiny park . Make the effort to run away to a natural park. Stop calmly, observe people, other children, birds ... It will be a gift for children and for adults.

Traditional fun park.

Hills of grass parks to run, climb, roll ...

Magical parks to dream.

Athletes parks.

Rustic adventures parks.

Natural parks to discover.

Water parks to bear heat.

Never avoid going to the park. Not worth the excuses.

... and if you can share it with family it will be great.

WEEK 24.Funny game with primary and secondary colors.

We will share August with an au pair. I was preparing various thematic activities and I was thinking of ideas about colors so I have created this simple game. It's great fun. It develops logical mathematical ability, patience, creativity (to find objects). You learn the relationship between primary and secondary colors, besides white is the sum of all and black is the absence of all.

You need:
- 8 A4 cards, one from each of the following colors (blue, yellow, red, green, orange, violet, white and black). Scissors to cut them into 6 equal parts. (An alternative if you have no cards is use stickers or painting.)
- An object of each of the 6 colors (blue, yellow, red, green, orange, purple) per player.
- Make as many prints as players attached sheet. Download here.

Instructions:
1.       Print one sheet like this for each player.
2.       Seek for one object of each color per player.
3.       Cut 8 cardboards (1 red, blue, yellow, orange, green and purple) into 6 pieces.

GAME:
Objective: Place one object over each rectangle according to the color. First player who achieves it wins.
Pick a card. Change it for an object of its color. If you already have an object of that color, keep the card to make operations with them. If you have a red one and pick a yellow one, you can change them for an orange object because red+yellow=orange. You can also change an orange and a yellow by a red object because orange-yellow=red. If you pick a white one, you can change it by any object. If you pick a black one you have to give back one object you choose.
Then next player picks another card until anyone fills all the rectangles.

Also with "real" characters.

When they got  tired Dani drew his airport on the other side.

WEEK 22. Sensory tubs.

The interest of the kids is overwhelming.

They create their own sensory tubs by themselves.

...even in a weding.

Our week activity consists on playing with sensory tubs.

Fill a box with sand and treasures (chocolatecoins and glass stones).

Cover with sand and make an attractive scene.

It is more fun to find first treasures with friends.

Then happens what happens...

It is very interenting for the little ones.
